Project team: North East Community e-Learning Precinct

North East Victorian rural communities have experienced multiple disadvantages in recent years leaving its citizens with reduced access to employment and learning, and diminished capacity for economic growth. This project will focus on the learning needs of the communities and provide a sustainable approach to their e-learning capacity.

Over recent years, the collaboration between Wodonga Institute of TAFE and the Hume Regional Council of Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) - and the ACE providers it supports - has improved take up of e-learning opportunities by adult learners and youth in the region. This project began with a collaborative approach to enhancing elearning opportunities in five small towns in NE Victoria, Beechworth, Corryong, Mt Beauty, Tallangatta and Yackandandah.

Online Stories

This creative group from Wodonga have used a digital story, to engage their community workers.

One of their digital stories focuses on the experience of migration to Bonegilla.

More stories from the participants will soon be made available as they finalise their movies for uploading to the web and storing in their own eportfolios. Showcases for celebrating their successes are now in the planning as we approach the end of the project timeline.
